How to check a handheld's memory
  Question
How do I check the available memory on my handheld device?
  Answer
Parts of Epocrates software are compatible with memory cards.

Even with some Epocrates software components installed to an expansion card, other components require that they be installed into the device's internal memory. Please choose one of the following for information on how to check your device and expansion card for available memory.

To check your BlackBerry's available memory, please complete the following steps.

  1. From the "Applications" menu, select "Options."
  2. Select "Status"
  3. "File Free" will tell you the available memory in bytes. "File Total" will tell you the total memory in bytes. One thousand bytes equals one kilobyte, and one thousand kilobytes equals one megabyte.

    Example: 15689347 bytes is = 15.689347 MB

  4. Epocrates Rx Free for BlackBerry requires a minimum of 10 MB free space plus 20K for each formulary selected. Epocrates Rx Pro requires a minimum of 12.2 MB free space plus 20K for each formulary.
