  Answer
The free MobileCME on-the-go learning center from Epocrates is a convenient new way to stay current and earn CME credits any time, anywhere. The MobileCME application is compatible with Palm OS and Windows Mobile (Pocket PC) OS mobile devices. To install MobileCME you need to have the Epocrates Rx free drug reference, or any premium Epocrates mobile reference(s), on your device. If you have installed the MobileCME software, you'll find it in the Black Bag tab or "my" tab within your Epocrates application. Tap on the "MobileCME" icon and then access the program called "Welcome to MobileCME!" for a quick tutorial.

What specialty areas are available?

The MobileCME learning application provides CME activities across a broad range of specialties -- Primary Care, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Oncology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Pulmonology, Rheumatology and Urology, --as well as State-Required CME. We publish content on a regular basis and will be adding new specialties over time.

How can I track my completed CME activities?

From the My Account page on our website, click on the "CME" link in the Account section. This link will bring you to the "CME Credit Summary" page. From that page, you can view your completed activities and completion certificates.

How do I choose what CME topics I receive?

CME categories are available for many specialty areas and state-required CME (see above). You can add or remove CME categories from your handheld or mobile device at any time.

To choose CME categories, launch the MobileCME application, tap on the drop-down at the top that says "All Activities", and select "Add/Remove Categories..." (if you do not see this option, please AutoUpdate (Windows users) or redownload* (Mac Users) to install the latest version of the MobileCME software). The categories listed at the top ("Chosen Categories:") are those that have been selected on your device. The categories listed at the bottom ("Tap below to add:") are additional categories that you can add to your selection.

Tap on a category in the bottom list to add it. Tap on a category in the top list to remove it. You will be asked to confirm your changes. Finally, please AutoUpdate to receive the new content.

*To redownload, visit the Epocrates website, click on "My Account", sign in with your Epocrates username and password, and click on "Download".

How can I restore a category after I remove it?

Launch the MobileCME application, tap on the drop-down at the top that says "All Activities", and select "Add/Remove Categories...". Tap on the category you wish to restore (under "Tap below to add:") You will be asked to confirm your changes. Finally, please AutoUpdate (sync) to restore the content for the selected categories.

How many credits can I earn?

You can earn as many credits as you'd like using the MobileCME learning system. Our courses are broken up into quarter-, half- and one-hour increments for time savings and convenience.

Do I have to complete an activity at one sitting?

No - all MobileCME activities can be started and stopped as many times as needed. The MobileCME learning system keeps track of the status of your activities, flagging activities that you started but haven't yet completed as "Active".

How do I request my CME certificate?

At the end of every MobileCME activity, you have the option to select credit hours and submit your completed activity for credit. AutoUpdate (synchronize while connected to the Internet) to submit your activity. Once you submit an activity for credit, an accredited CME certificate will be sent to you via email. Prior to submitting for credit, your registered email address is displayed for your verification. Please confirm that your email address is correct so that you receive your certificate. If you need to update your email address, visit our website at www.epocrates.com , click on "My Account" and sign in with your username and password to change your profile.

What happens if I lose my certificate?

If you lose your CME certificate, open your MobileCME application again. Once in the MobileCME application, tap on the "All Activities" drop-down and select "Completed Activities" to view activities that you recently completed. Open the activity and select "Resend Results" to request a new accredited certificate be emailed to you. A full list of the activities that you completed can also be found online at www.epocrates.com. From the My Account page, click on the "CME" link in the Account section. This link will bring to the "CME Credit Summary" page. From that page, you can view your completed activities and their completion certificates.

Can I delete activities from my device?

Yes - to delete an activity that you are not interested in completing, you can either tap on the activity status and tap "Delete" or access the activity and tap on the trash icon. Additionally, articles are automatically deleted for activities that you have completed to free up memory on your device.

Why haven't I received my certificate?

It's possible that your email "spam" filter might be blocking these emails. We recommend that you add the following email address to your safe or trusted list:

MobileCME@r.prod.survey.epocrates.com.

You can also access your certificates online (see above).
