How to I fix the "1008:5 -5000- Access Denied Error" when installing Epocrates for my Mac?

The following instructions are from the Palm support site. Please note that if you encounter difficulties or are unable to carry out the suggested correction, you will need to contact Palm directly as supporting this issue goes beyond the scope of Epocrates software support. The process will differ slightly depending on your version of the Mac OS.
In the Mac HD, select the "/Library/Application Support/Palm HotSync" folder. Note that this is the Library folder at the ‘root' level of your hard drive, not the Library folder in your user Home folder.
Select "Get Info" from the File menu.
In the "Get Info" window click select "Sharing and Permissions."
The permissions should be set as follows.
System: Read & Write
[your Mac username]: Read & Write
Everyone: Read only
Repeat the previous steps for the following two folders:
Also, be sure that you are using the most recent version of iSync and Palm Desktop software for Mac.
If you have updated iSync and the Palm desktop and continue to receive the Access Denied error, please change permissions on your Palm Hotsync folder as shown above.

In the "Get Info" window click on the arrow next to "Ownership and Permissions" to show the details. In Mac OS X 10.3 you may need to click on the arrow next to "Details" to show all owner/permission info.
Select the lock icon next to the "Owner" name to unlock it.
Select the Owner menu and select your username (or a user with Admin privileges). You may be asked to enter your password at this time.
Change the Owner's Access to "Read & Write"
Select the "Group" name and change it to "Admin"
Change the Group's Access to "Read & Write"
Repeat the previous steps for the following two folders:
For Mac OS X 4 and above, ensure that you are using the most recent version of iSync and Palm Desktop software for Mac.
If you have updated iSync and the Palm desktop and continue to receive the Access Denied error, please change permissions on your Palm Hotsync folder as shown above.
