An Epocrates license code is a unique code that gives you a subscription for Epocrates software products. You can purchase a license code to give to someone else, or you may receive a license code from another party that wants to give the gift of Epocrates. You do not need a license code in order to access our software. When you purchase Epocrates software for yourself, it is a subscription rather than a license code.
To activate your Epocrates license code, click here. Choose the handheld type and computer type you wish to use and then continue. Your shopping cart total will be $0 and you will receive an order number and a confirmation email when the code is successfully activated.
All users who wish to redeem an Epocrates product License Code should first register on our website if they have not already done so. If you are activating codes for a group of users, each individual user must have their own unique account.
Your Epocrates product License Code is valid for one Epocrates subscription. It does not have a monetary value and can not be used to extend a subscription for any product other than the one your new License Code is good for.
Example 1: You have an existing Rx Pro subscription. Your License Code is good for another year of Rx Pro. You can redeem the code at any time and it will add another 12 months onto your existing subscription.
Example 2: You have an Essentials subscription. You receive an Rx Pro License Code. Redeeming the lesser product to your existing account will only give you a separate Rx Pro subscription. It will not extend your Essentials subscription because these are product codes good for a specific product.
Other Information About License Codes
Before you activate your license code, we recommend that you visit the product page for and review the system requirements information for your mobile device and computer. To view requirements for your exact product, hover your mouse over the drop down menu titled "More Mobile Products" in the top right corner of the page until the product you wish to view is displayed, then click.
Please note that you can use a license code at any time to extend your current subscription. For example, if you have 3 months left on your subscription to Epocrates Rx Pro, and you activate a 12-month license code, you will then have 15 months remaining on your subscription.
If you currently subscribe to Epocrates Rx Pro, Epocrates SxDx, or Epocrates Lab, and have received a license code for Epocrates Essentials, your sponsored subscription will run in parallel to your current subscriptions, which means that for the duration of your sponsored subscription you will have access to additional features. After your sponsored subscription has expired your application will revert to your paid subscription products.
