  How do I uninstall Epocrates Essentials from my Windows Mobile Pocket PC?
  Answer
  Here's how you can uninstall Epocrates from your Windows Mobile Pocket PC device and Windows 2000 or XP computer. If your computer has Windows Vista, please see this FAQ.

A. Disable AutoUpdate within ActiveSync.
  1. With your handheld device connected to your computer, open ActiveSync.
  2. Click Options then remove the check mark by Epocrates AutoUpdate.
  3. Click OK to close.

B. Uninstall Epocrates from your Pocket PC.
  1. Disconnect the handheld device from the computer, then perform a soft-reset.
  2. On the handheld, tap Start, Settings, System then Remove Programs.
  3. Uninstall Epocrates by tapping on it and then on Remove. Repeat this as is necessary for all Epocrates programs listed.
  4. Tap OK at the top right.
  5. Soft-reset the handheld device again.
  6. Tap Start, Programs, then File Explorer.
  7. Tap on My Documents and select My Device.
  8. Tap on Program Files.
  9. Delete any Epocrates folders by tapping and holding the folder name, then tapping Delete.
  10. Navigate to the Program Files folder on the SD Card.
  11. Delete any Epocrates folders on the card by tapping and holding the folder name, then tapping Delete.
  12. Navigate to My Device \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs. Delete all the Epocrates icons.
  13. Delete any Epocrates files in the Start Menu by tapping and holding the folder name, then tapping Delete.
  14. Soft-reset the handheld a third time.

C. Uninstall Epocrates from desktop computer:
  1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Select Epocrates for Pocket PC then click Add/Remove or Change/Remove.
  3. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
  4. Close Add/Remove Programs.

D. Verify Epocrates folders have been deleted from the computer.
  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Navigate to "C:\Program Files" and delete the Epocrates folder.
  3. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Common FIles" and delete the Epocrates folder.
