Is it possible to disable AutoUpdate from running everytime I synchronize my device?

Yes, it is possible to modify the AutoUpdate frequency. Please click the link below that corresponds to the version of Epocrates you currently have installed on your device.
Disable AutoUpdate on your computer. This process will vary depending on your Windows version.
If you have Windows 2000 or Windows XP...
On your computer, click the HotSync Manager icon in the lower right hand corner of your system tray then click "Custom."
Double click Epocrates, select "Do Nothing" and place a check mark by "Set As Default". Click OK.
Double click System, select "Handheld Overwrites Desktop" and place a check mark by "Set As Default".
Click "OK" then "Done."
If you have Windows Vista...
Locate the Hot Sync manager icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen and right click it. Select "Settings".
In the box that appears, verify that your Palm username is highlighted in the area that says "Hot Sync Manager settings for______," where "______" is your Palm Username.
Select "Applications."
A list of applications that you synchronize with your Palm will appear.
If Epocrates is not listed, stop here. You will need to reinstall Epocrates software.
To turn the Epocrates conduit ON and sync to our server, double click the line that says Epocrates. Place a check mark next to "Do nothing", then check the box that says "Set as Default" and click OK to save the changes.
To turn the Epocrates conduit OFF and not update your Epocrates when you Hot Sync your Palm, double click the line that says Epocrates. Place a check mark in the box that says "Do Nothing". To do this for the next sync only, do not place a check mark next to "Set as Default". To disable it long-term, place a check mark in the box that says "Do Nothing" and click OK. Please note that you will need to manually re-open the settings and remove the check mark in order to be able to update Epocrates again.
Epocrates for Palm/Mac
Disable AutoUpdate on your Mac.
Open the Palm Desktop on your Mac.
Select Conduit Settings from the HotSync menu.
Double click on Epocrates AutoUpdate and set it to Custom Do Nothing, click Make Default, click OK and close the Conduit Settings window.
Epocrates for Pocket PC/Win
Disable AutoUpdate. This process will vary depending on your Windows version.
If you have Windows 2000 or Windows XP...
Open Microsoft ActiveSync on your computer.
Click Details.
Double click Epocrates AutoUpdate
Uncheck Enable AutoUpdate or select "Update Always", "Update Daily", or "Update Weekly."
Click OK to save.
Disconnect then reconnect your handheld to your computer at least twice for this change to take affect.
If you have Windows Vista...
With your handheld device connected to the computer, open Windows Mobile Device Center on your computer.
Under Mobile Device Settings, click "Change Content Sync Settings" then remove the check mark by Epocrates AutoUpdate then click Save.
