  Question
If you have a BlackBerry Pearl with Verizon Wireless, Sprint/Nextel, or Alltel, you must update your operating system before installing Epocrates.
  Answer
You need to update your Verizon, Sprint, or Alltel BlackBerry Pearl Operating System before installing or updating to the latest version of Epocrates. Updating Epocrates without updating your Pearl’s operating system may render your device inoperable.
