We allow one trial per user.
After you have requested the trial, you will be prompted to run the update process. Let this process complete and the trial will be installed.
You will receive an email notifying you when the trial is about to end, and another email confirming the end of the trial. If you do not subscribe to Epocrates Essentials during or at the end of the trial, your application will return to your original product(s) with your original subscription date(s).
NOTE:
The alternative medications are not included with the Free Trial.
The free trial is for Essentials and not for Essentials Deluxe. The Coder and Medical Dictionary are not part of this trial.

Already have a subscription to Epocrates Essentials for a different handheld device? Here's how you can change it to iPhone:
Go to the My Account page of the Epocrates web site.
Click on the transfer handheld platform link.
From the next page, you will be able to transfer your subscription to iPhone. If you encounter any difficulties or are unable to make the transfer, please contact Epocrates support.

All Epocrates installation and updates are done with the device's wireless Internet connection. For the iPhone, this connection can be cellular or WiFi. For the iPod touch, it must be WiFi.
Some Epocrates features such an Pill ID require wireless Internet access at the time they are invoked on the device. The rest of Epocrates is stored locally in the device itself.
