  BlackBerry Wireless AutoUpdate
  Question
This FAQ article answers the following questions.
  • How can I enable AutoUpdate to run wirelessly on my BlackBerry?
  • How can I disable wireless AutoUpdate on my BlackBerry?
  Answer
There are some support considerations for wireless AutoUpdate on a BlackBerry device.
  • The product download must be done wirelessly. This install involves a large data transfer through your carrier. We strongly recommend an "unlimited" data plan for your phone.
  • Due to the large data transfer required, installation might take up to 30 minutes.
  • Epocrates is not responsible for any charges you might encounter with your wireless provider.

Here is how to enable wireless updates on your BlackBerry device.
  1. Open Epocrates on the handheld.
  2. Press the menu key and select "AutoUpdate."
  3. Enter the time when you want AutoUpdate to run.
  4. Select the day or days when you want AutoUpdate to run.
  5. Be sure that "Enable Timed Update" is checked.
  6. Press the menu key and select "Save."

Here is how to disable wireless updates on your BlackBerry device.
  1. Open Epocrates on the handheld.
  2. Press the menu key and select "AutoUpdate."
  3. Unselect any highlighted days.
  4. Uncheck "Enable Timed Update."
  5. Press the menu key and select "Save."
