Downloading Clinical Updates to your existing application ensures that the clinical content displayed in your Epocrates app is the most current available, including newly added drug and disease information. It's best to refresh your content weekly.

To download Clinical Updates:

• iPhone, iPod touch:
  1. Launch Epocrates on your iPhone/iPod touch.
  2. From your Epocrates homepage, swipe the screen to the left screen and tap the "Updates" icon.
  3. Tap on "Check For Updates/Update Now."
• iPad, iPad mini:
  1. From the Epocrates home page, select settings icon in the top right corner (it's shaped like a gear).
  2. Epocrates will automatically check for available updates. If an update is available, select the Update Now button to begin installation.
  3. To manually check for updates, select the circular arrow button in the top right corner of the Updates & Settings popover.

This will start the Clinical Update process, which takes a few minutes. Please allow it to finish and check "Last update" date and time on your device to ensure the update was successful.

Important note: We highly recommend the usage of Wi-Fi or Updating via a carrier plan that includes unlimited data. Epocrates is not responsible for any charges encountered with a wireless provider.

Please note:

• Times listed on the update screen will be Pacific Time.
• We recommend that you download Clinical Updates weekly to ensure you have the most current app content.
• A wireless connection is required.

Upgrading to a newer version of the app includes bug fixes, faster load times, or enhanced features.

To upgrade to the newest version of the app:

1. Launch the App Store on your device.
2. Tap "Updates" on the bottom right.
3. Locate Epocrates and select it.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Please note:

• If Epocrates does not appear under "Updates" in the App Store, and you have it installed on your device, then you already have the latest version.
• A wireless connection is required.
