Adding or Changing Formularies for a Mobile Device

You may add or remove Formularies on your Epocrates profile at any time. For the best user experience, we strongly recommend making profile changes using a desktop computer rather than your mobile device.

1. Go to www.epocrates.com.
2. Click on "My Account" in the top right.
3. Sign in with your Epocrates username and password, if needed.
4. Click on "Edit Formularies."
5. Follow the on screen instructions to select and download formularies or to remove formularies. Click the "Done" button when you've finished.
6. Update your device, and the formularies on your mobile device will be changed accordingly.

If you have an Android, you can add formularies directly from the device.

1. From the Epocrates home screen, swipe to the left screen and tap on “Formulary”.
2. Tap "Add Formularies."
3. Select the desired state and formulary type.
4. Locate the desired formulary below and tap the [+] icon to the right of it.
5. Tap the “Add” button at the bottom of the screen.

Please note:

• The maximum number of formularies that can be displayed on your mobile deivce is 30. There is no limit to the number of Formularies that may be chosen in Epocrates Online.
• The formulary profile for one's mobile device is not the same as the formulary profile for Epocrates Online.

Selecting formularies in Epocrates on an iPhone or iPod touch

NOTE: The following instructions pertain to the latest version of Epocrates. To be sure that you have the latest version, please check for Epocrates updates in the App Store on your device.

First, be sure that you have already edited your formulary profile at the Epocrates web site.

There are 2 ways to select formularies on your iPhone or iPod touch.

1. From your Epocrates homepage, swipe left to locate the "Formulary" icon, then tap it.
2. Tap "Set Formulary", then tap to select the desired formulary.

Alternatively,

1. From your Epocrates homepage, tap on the search box at the top of the screen.
2. Tap the "Formulary" button.
3. Tap to select the desired formulary.

Selecting formularies in Epocrates on an iPad or iPad mini

NOTE: The following instructions pertain to the latest version of Epocrates. To be sure that you have the latest version, please check for Epocrates updates in the App Store on your device.

First, be sure that you have already edited your formulary profile at the Epocrates web site.

Here's how you can change your default formulary:

1. From the Epocrates home page, select settings icon in the top right corner (it's shaped like a gear).
2. Select "Formulary".
3. From the "Set Formulary" tab on the "Formularies" menu, choose the formular that will be used as your default.
4. Select the "Done" button in the top right.

1. Sign into Epocrates Online and select "Drugs."
2. Select the "Edit Formulary List" link to the right of the formulary drop-down menu.
3. Follow the on screen instructions to select and download formularies or to remove formularies.
4. Click the "[X] close" when you've made your changes.

Please note:

• There is no limit to the number of Formularies that may be chosen in Epocrates Online. The maximum number of formularies that can be displayed on your mobile device is 30.
• The formulary profile for Epocrates Online is not the same as the formulary profile for one's mobile device.

Selecting formularies in Epocrates on a Android

Here is how to change the selected formulary on your Android device.

1. On the Home screen, tap the searchbox at the top of the screen.
2. Tap the "formulary" button.
3. Tap to select the desired formulary.

Alternatively:

1. While on a drug monograph, tap the formulary name toward the top of the screen, just below the drug name.
2. Tap the "formulary" button.
3. Tap to select the desired formulary.

Selecting formularies in Epocrates on a BlackBerry

First, be sure that you have already edited your formulary profile at the Epocrates web site.

Here's how you can select formularies on your BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, World, Tour, or Bold.

1. Open Epocrates.
2. Press the menu button and select Rx.
3. Scroll to the right with the trackball to select the formulary name or the "No Formulary Selected" text in the bottom right corner.
4. Press the scroll wheel or trackball to open the formulary menu.
5. Select the formulary of your choice.

Please note, formularies can only be selected from the Rx drug list, not the from "Lookup" screen or from within the drug monographs themselves.

Here's how you can select formularies on your BlackBerry Storm, Storm 2, or Thunder device.

1. Open Epocrates.
2. Press the menu button and select Rx.
3. Dismiss the keyboard and scroll down to any random point in the list.
4. Touch the formulary name or the "No Formulary Selected" text at the bottom right.
5. Touch the formulary of your choice.

Please note:

• Formularies can only be selected from the Rx drug list, not the from "Lookup" screen or from within the drug monographs themselves.
• Formulary selection is not possible in Landscape.
